We were so sorry to hear that Peter had passed away. Our thoughts are with Sue, Sarah, Claire and Tom. Also with Michael, Sophie and their family. Stephen has lost a dear cousin and, as his close friends, we feel sad for him too. Sending love - Maggie and Nigel.

Losing friends, colleagues and neighbours is, unfortunately, an increasingly common part of life as I grow older. It is, though, heartening to recall how much my life has been enriched by knowing and interacting with them. My experience of working with Peter on the DDRB has been no exception. I have not only learnt much from his knowledge of the medical profession and the NHS, which has also been of great benefit to DDRB, but I also very much enjoyed my DDRB visits with him. I shall particularly remember his warmth, his courtesy and seeing his ex-students’ delight in seeing him on our visit to Barts.
