Peter and I worked together on the NHS DDRB for two years. It was a privilege and so enjoyable visiting hospitals together as part of our roles. His humanity and perception were exceptional, always a great colleague to work alongside.

I first met Prof. Kopelman years before I joined SGUL. On our mutual daily commutes in opposite directions in the village where I went to school. Years later, at an open day, not only did he remember me but he welcomed me to the university that became my second home. I spent many years at St. George's and the initial welcome from him was exactly the warmth I experienced for the better-half of a decade in my early years of education. Shaking his hand as a form of thank you and gratitude in 2015 at my graduation was a real honour. His dedication to medicine, research and education is something I hope emulate in my career. My condolences to his family. You will be missed Professor Kopelman.

I worked with Peter Kopelman at SGUL and he cared so deeply about its students and staff, ultimately so that we could improve healthcare for patients not only in our community but across the country, wherever our students ended up working after graduating. Peter achieved a great deal in his lifetime and this tribute shows that he is still achieving great things even in his passing. You are much missed.

We were so sorry to hear that Peter had passed away. Our thoughts are with Sue, Sarah, Claire and Tom. Also with Michael, Sophie and their family. Stephen has lost a dear cousin and, as his close friends, we feel sad for him too. Sending love - Maggie and Nigel.
