Peter and I worked together on the NHS DDRB for two years. It was a privilege and so enjoyable visiting hospitals together as part of our roles. His humanity and perception were exceptional, always a great colleague to work alongside.
I first met Prof. Kopelman years before I joined SGUL. On our mutual daily commutes in opposite directions in the village where I went to school. Years later, at an open day, not only did he remember me but he welcomed me to the university that became my second home. I spent many years at St. George's and the initial welcome from him was exactly the warmth I experienced for the better-half of a decade in my early years of education. Shaking his hand as a form of thank you and gratitude in 2015 at my graduation was a real honour. His dedication to medicine, research and education is something I hope emulate in my career. My condolences to his family. You will be missed Professor Kopelman.
For Dad, miss you always
